Girls Lacrosse
The Optimist Club of Boyertown girl's lacrosse program (BOLT) is a developmental program that promotes skill development and enhancement, leadership, and team building opportunities in a fun, healthy, and safe environment. Because this program is a developmental program, prior experience is not necessary. It is the goal of the program to provide the young girls of the Boyertown community an opportunity to learn the game of lacrosse prior to entering junior high. Girls currently in grades first through sixth who reside within or attend a school within the boundaries of the Boyertown Area School District are encouraged to participate in the program.
The season begins in mid-March and runs through late May. Practices are twice a week in the evening with games or playdays being held on the weekend. Practices are located at Middle School East or Middle School West. Indoor practices during inclement weather are held in the district's elementary schools.
BOLT participates in the Tri-County Area Lacrosse League where we play teams from the surrounding area. Our away league games and playdays involve travel to neighboring clubs.
Registration for the 2020 Spring season will open in early December and close in mid-January. An information meeting for parents will be held in early January.
