The Boyertown Optimists' youth cheerleading program is a developmental program that promotes skill development and enhancement, leadership, and teambuilding opportunities in a fun, healthy, and safe environment.

Boyertown Optimist Cheerleading program is open to all youth entering Kindergarten through 6th grade in the fall of the upcoming academic year and must reside within or attend a school within the boundaries of the Boyertown Area School District.

Optimist Cheerleaders support the Club's Football program, which runs from mid-August through mid-November each weekend during the season in terms of sideline chants and cheers throughout the game, and with half-time routine.

Clinics and practices start for the season in mid-August followed by games and exhibitions from  September through mid-November.

Because this program is a developmental program, prior experience is not necessary. The Club does not believe in "cutting" cheerleaders from the program. The Club will not accept girls to the program who do not register by the specified registration deadline.  Participants will not be "cut" from the program based on ability.
